Kaitlin Nelson

Kaitlin Nelson was born and raised on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where she developed a passion for movement and health as a competitive track and field athlete. She completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology at the University of Victoria and went on to work as a kinesiologist in both the nonprofit and private sectors. Driven by a deep curiosity about women’s health, Kaitlin pursued her Master of Science in Experimental Medicine at the University of British Columbia under the mentorship of Dr. Jerilynn Prior. She successfully defended her thesis in December 2024, which explored an innovative treatment approach for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
