  • Exogenous

Means coming from outside the body. It is the opposite of endogenous.

  • Hirsutism

The presence of coarse hair occurring in a male-type pattern in women. Hair can grow on the chin and upper lip, as well as the sideburn areas of the face or the inner thigh, up from the pubic hair line toward the navel, and around the nipples. It is normal for hair to be present in these areas but it is usually very fine. This is a sign of high androgen levels or actions like acne and head hair thinning.
