For the front or anterior part of the pituitary gland these include thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), prolactin, follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), growth hormone and adrenocortical stimulating hormone (ACTH). The back or posterior part of the pituitary gland releases anti-diuretic hormone and oxytocin that are made in the hypothalamus.
